Another reason is that people become busy in the morning. They think about work, school, breakfast, or their phones. New thoughts enter the mind, and old dream memories fade away. If someone wants to remember dreams, it is helpful to stay in bed for a few minutes and think quietly about the dream.
Scientists have also found that stress and lack of sleep can affect dream memory. A tired person may not remember dreams well. Healthy sleep habits can help people remember more dreams. Going to bed at the same time every night is often useful.
